808's and Heartbreak influenced just as many rappers and it's lower. This is all genre. Music is bigger than just rap.

also every album on this list is 9/10+. C3 is prob a 9.5 vs the #1 album being a 10

i will never understand why y'all hate C4 so much.. it has bangers like John, Mirror, How To Love and amazing songs like 6 Foot 7 Foot Nightmares Of The Bottom, Abortion and more. It's a great album.

Like putting MBDTF and To Pimp a Butterfly above Bowie's Ziggy Stardust album and The Beatle's Sgt Pepper album etc. just makes no sense to me? I'd probably think it was less silly if it wasn't ranked. But I guess it's just to get people talking and keep Rolling Stone relevant.
Yeah the ranking is just stupid

So wayne has two albums in top 100 of the century

nah bro. we actually just learned about this in my english class. human nature is consistent so work should follow that. waynes work will stand the test of time cuz it will be relateable no matter what the context. kendricks work only makes since due to the social climate. and the social climate enhances it. wayne showed a mastery of words like shakesphere. meaning can talk on basic human desires, flee of complex emotions and make art of it. like waynes work is significant regardless of the context. it stands on its own. difference betweeen early carters and new carters. he doesnt even have to rap about the streets for credibility. and the genius in wayne can be found without context. like just the lyrics.

theres also something called practical criticism. that means one should be able to study art without the conecpt of the context around the time period. meaning just focus on the words on the page. like when one studies renaissance art one should be able to just look at the picture and study the work of the art and not interpret the context. waynes work stands on its own whereas its layers can be found just on the page without any contextual background.

kendrick like nas to alot of people is boring too. no one talks about nas these days, why cuz jay was better and theres a new social politial leader so of course u will focus on the new one. lists might put nas up there but jay is still relevant as he was a master of his craft as was wayne. wayne is timeless. there is a much higher chance of being another kendrick than another wayne. there will never be another wayne. a true master of his craft

as far as rapping goes Nas is slightly better than Jay Z.
Wayne, Eminem and Nas are the best ever at rapping abillity, then Biggie and Jay Z and then 2Pac
