  • LIL WAYNE Charged by Feds ... POSS. OF FIREARM, AMMO

Lil Wayne's just been hit with a federal weapons charge and could face serious prison time if convicted.

The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida has charged the rapper with 1 count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. Weezy -- who was convicted of a felony gun charge in NY back in 2009 -- faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

The charge is for a December 2019 incident where federal agents searched Wayne's plane at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. He was a passenger on that plane, which made a stop in Florida on its way to California.

At the time ... Wayne's attorney, Howard Srebnick, had said his client was "cleared" to leave even though guns and drugs were reportedly found on the plane. It appears now the feds believe Wayne was wrongfully in possession of a weapon and ammunition.

I swear 2020 just keeps getting worse.

If Wayne gets locked up for 10 years, this is literally the end of his career.

is the end of his career the worst thing that accompanies a 10 year sentence? The man has kids and a whole family behind him

So they're charging him for the gun and ammunition, but not the drugs?? That's weird.

I’m not sure how many years he’d get sentenced to, but you usually do 85% of your sentence, so 8.5 years if he gets 10 years. Doubt he’d get sentenced to 10 though

edit: idk if the 85% is accurate, heard you get 54 days of good time
edit 2: Florida's “10-20-Life” law requires courts to impose a minimum sentence of 10 years, 20 years or 25 years to life for certain felony convictions involving the use or attempted use of a firearm or destructive device, according to Florida Statute § 775.087. In this case, Wayne reportedly did not use the gun in the commission of a forcible felony like firing it or brandishing it

I have no idea how the system works.

I believe 10 years is the maximum sentence he could receive.

Say he’s sentenced to maximum of 10 years, if he’s on good behavior, he could be released 5 years into that sentence with 5 years of parole.

Honestly though, I don’t think Wayne will be charged.

If anything, Wayne NEEDS to carry around a weapon. He had his tour bus shot up.

Peewee roscoe only did what? Like 2 years? For shooting up a SUPERSTARS tour bus.

If Wayne got 10 years just for being in possession, that’s kind of fucked.

But Wayne is already a convicted felon, meaning he’s not allowed to legally carry firearms

Inb4 people blame Tez and Mack like you guys normally do even though it’s always Wayne’s fault

Inb4 Wayne sells his soul & one of his children or his mother passes away to avoid this sentence.
