  • Lil Wayne's 2020 Year End Stats Per Billboard

Billboard released their year end stats so I've compiled Wayne's placements.

1 placement on the most successful songs list, What's Poppin - Remix at 13th place
1 placement on the most successful albums list, Funeral at 127th place
83rd on the most successful artist list
54th most popular R&B/Hip-hop album with Funeral
45th on must successful R&B/Hip-Hop artist list
60th Billboard 200 Artist (I believe he moved the 60th most album units s in the year - including all albums)
    1
placement on the most successful Hip-Hop songs list, What's Poppin - Remix at 5th place

Let me know if I missed any other notable ones
Note that the fiscal year for this is November 2019 - November 2020

What’s Poppin would have been just as big without him. Sad.

why people clown Wayne for his sales and irelevance? He simply doesn't care enough, if he cared he would've hired a betfer team to manage his music. And let's not forget alot of people moved on from Wayne when rappers like Future, Young Thug and Migos started to get famous. Who sounded like Wayne in 2008-2009? No one. Who sounds and looks like Wayne in 2020? 90% of the rappers nowadays and people obviously prefer the copies more than the original.

He definitely cares about sales (numbers)

            From this interview from 2020:
Reaching two million listeners was a major milestone. At this point of your career, do you care about numbers?

Numbers are always important to me because they simply don’t lie. I personally thank everyone that tunes in!

Seems like a pretty generic answer.
Naturally pop stars are gonna care about sales. As if Wayne is gonna be actively looking up stuff like this though...

I doubt he checks it every week but Im sure he pays attention to how hes doing based on that response.
I feel most mainstream rappers (including Wayne) care tbh, you see everyone right now posting their spotify numbers or having Akademiks post it
