Well for years after he got out of prison pretty much everyone on LWHQ was arguing about whether or not codeine made Wayne more creative and better at rapping, saying they wished he'd start drinking syrup like he did in 08 so he'd be that good again. Not so unreasonable for a more casual listener to think his rapping ability or the weird stuff he comes up with are the result of drinking syrup all the time.
