    LIL WAYNE......WHY SO MANY MIXTAPES????

    LOL, i just wanted to make this forum to talk about why did he drop so many mixtapes and was on so many singles instead of just droppin a album rite away and promoting that shit

    my answer is that, for the mixtapes, he wanted people to listen to him first and shit and get his name out there
    for all of the Dedications, he gave them free, he wanted people to buy his albums instead, and i think thats why he so fuckin smart, he took a different approach to promote him self and thats why the carter 3 went crazy, cuz fans knew that he only wanted them to buy his cd not his mixtapes.

                  Dude your so right about this, i mean, he prooved himself without using anything or anyone, he went and did what he did best for people to see first, not to go buy and guess or assume he was good, he made us listen to him first for free and that way he prooved himself, now he can make his money. hes climbign out of the underground

                      Why not? I mean before he was putting out mixtapes & was only dropping albums, nobody was giving him the respect that he deserved til he forced his way into people's ear drums by droppin track after track & tape after tape for free and everyone was like oh shit this dude's sick...It's only the best way to get your shit heard nowadays since people don't want to risk spending money on garbage music even tho his music isn't garbage but he's making sure that the comsumers are sure they ain't gonna go & spend $15 on a garbage album by giving away some free music before he drops an official album so he knows that his fans & everyone else knows its not gonna be garbage & he then sells millions instead of thousands
