masonry takes bright men that have the potential to become superb men and chop/cut them down in their prime...sort of like clipping a bird's wings...why do they do this?--so these superb men cannot surpass the Unkown Superiors. as far as i can tell, outside of wayne's jail stint, he hasn't lost or diminished his skill.
