Eminems new album Recovery leaked in the past hour or so, and on his song, "Talkin to Myself" he says the following below(in regards to the days he was an addict and wasn't making music).
"Hatred was flowing through my veins, on the verge of going insane, almost made a song dissin Lil Wayne. It was like I was jealous of him because of the attention he was gettin. I felt horrible about myself, he was spittin, and I wasn't, anyone who was buzzin back then coulda got it, almost went at Kanye too. Feels like im going psychotic, I woulda had my ass handed to me, and I knew it, but Proof isn't here to see me through it, im in the booth, poppin another pill tryin to talk myself into it, are you stupid? you're going to start dissing people for no reason, especially when you can't write a decent punchline even."
I have mad respect for both Em and Wayne, and although I wouldn't like anyone dissin Wayne, makes me wonder what this song coulda been like. Anyways, the song is pretty good, will hold me over until C4
