Tha Carter 2 really started it
Like father like son added more hype with the singles
His mixtapes gain more and more fans
All the features he did gave him alot of airplay & attention
All the hyped went into C3 and from there it was a warp

His C3 singles got him ALOT of new fans internationally, I know ALOT of fans irl that didn't know who Wayne was before Lollipop, Got Money, Mrs Officer.

In 06/07 when he started doing a lot of good collaborations with a lot of artists

in 07 he did all those features to get him "famous" and known to all. Then he released Da Drought 3 and then he released Lollipop, which I got to know him by -and the rest is history..

06, Around the time C2 hit, then 07 with Pop Bottles, Da Drought 3 and alot of colabos. Then finally 08, C3 dropped and he hit it huge along with Dedication 3. Can't Believe it is the first time I really started to like Wayne, then I listened to his mixtapes and I have been a fan since.

1) The S. Q. mixtapes made him a big name to look out for in the future (as far as underground goes). (2002-2003)

2) Soldier (Destiny's Child song) was the fuel to the mainstream hip hop game. (2003)

3)Tha Carter made him a big name to look out for in the future as far as mainstream goes (underground already knew he was a force). (2004)

4) Tha Carter II was the fuel that got him started in the mainstream world. (2005)

5) Da Drought 3 made him the hugest name in the hip hop community. (2007)

6) Lollipop got him a big name in the pop music community (200

It was all history after that.
