Wrong section.

EP - Extended Play,usually short with 5-9 songs
LP - Long Play,12-19 songs
Album - Same thing as LP

Idk. Why do they call it the large intestine, if the short intestine is longer?

Well,the terms came from old records instead of CDs soooo..

Regular normal records could only play 1 or 2 songs.They invented "extended play" records which had more than 1 or 2 songs,LP even longer than EPs and I guess they kept using the terms for CDs sort of.
