Yea i'm new i don't even know how to fuck with somebody's rep lol. But OT: I don't think wayne is good at freestyling. But i DO think he's good at rapping without writing

The rep is in the bottom left hand corner of the persons post. Its a black badge you click on it and say i approve/ disapprove. And i agree haven't really heard to good of freestyles from him but doesn't mean i don't like his music.

Lil Wayne is only the few (Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G. etc) who write their verses stored in their memory.

so, in other words, they listen to the instrumentals, then "write" in their mind what theyre going to rap.

But Weezy does it different as he gets straight in the booth and writes slowly as he may have in his mind 4 bars and spit it, stop then go further when hes got something.

freestyling is completely different, its when someone raps off their head, no pre written material, and speak relvance to the freestyle.
therefore, the creativity is different to making music and just rapping a freestyled verse.

wayne doesnt just spit 8-16 bars off the top of his head

he thinks of a couple lines says em....then thinks of some more....and then thinks of the wording and if he should change a certain word or something like that so it makes sense

He doesn't freestyle though, and when he does he's just fucking around like on Tim westwood when he said he doesn't even know how to rap or on the Carter doc when he was freestyling about cotton candy. He said himself he doesn't freestyle, he spits a couple bars had the engineer play what he just said goes over his potential lyrics in his head and then lays down another couple bars and repeats his cycle.

I don't even wanna answer to this thread.. There have been so many threads about Lil Wayne's way of rappin'. No, he doesn't freestyle. No, he don't write. He do his own thing.. Think a lil while hearing the beat, comes up with somethin', record it, and think again.. That's Wayne's way of rappin'..

I seen in tha carter documentary dat he does think of lyrics on tha top of his head, spits them into recordin', then he replays wat he just rapped and changes it rite away if he doesnt like it. its not freestylin' just a different way 2 record. and I think he might sumtimes write shit down. but barely. he just memorizes wat he wanna say before he starts spittin'. and as far as dat video on tim westwood goes, its totally obvious he waz fucked up on syrup durin dat. u can clearly see his white cup and his voice sounds fucked. I personally think most rappers dat r on Tim Westwood memorize a few verses before gettin on there & partially freestyle. but its still talentin dat they can memorize so much with out fuckin up. just sayin.
