Too early, artist these days put a lit of promo into their mixtapes, no way it would drop that early. I'd consider it lucky if he drops it before Cristmas

Didn't J. Cole announce Friday Night Lights only 10 days or something before he dropped it? And that was the second highest trending topic, once a big artist announces a mixtape, the Internet does 80% of the promo and the rest is done by the artist.

I'm not sure about that but this thread dates back to "about a month ago" J. Cole - Friday Night Lights Mixtape (November 12th 2010, Friday Afternoon). Trey Songz mixtape was annonced 2 weeks ago it has 3 singles out and it hasnt dropped. The only mixtape I recall dropping as soon as it was announced was "Fuck a Mixtape and im guessing his label forced it.

ughhhh obviouly more people know him that that, but how did you find out about Wayne? was it through a mixtape he just dropped or a song you heard? And he also didn't even announce if officially that he is working on D4, he said "I might drop a mixtape" to MTV, he obviously was going to but he's just hyping him self up.

lol you guys act like people wouldnt know about it. People will KNOW if waynes dropping a mixtape. All the hip-hop sites while post about it, as well as the forums. Then theres everyone on myspace, facebook, twitter, etc. and it'd probably get a mention in any other 'music news' things on tv, like mtv.

Just saying that promo these days is different than the methods they used a few years ago, as I stated in my original post. And thats why I think Dec 4th is an unrealistic guess, but who knows whats going to happen we'll just wait and see.
