  • Wayne's New competition

If you truly have been following hip hop i think you can begin to notice that mainstream in rap is hella dieing. All the new underground rappers are coming up and it's going back to that real feel. Not only that Kanye west is went back to original style but that's only on the GOOD Music songs. Wayne from like 07 to current has been Mainstream. With that said i think when wayne is going to start hearing these new artist he is probably goin to start changing his style up which he is mostly known for. But my question is to you guys do you think he is going to hang with J.cole, Jay Electronica, Wiz Khalifa, Drake, Curren$y, Stanley, Wale, Big Sean, and consequence lyrically and popularity. It's a new era of rap and the only person who has ever really kept up with new era's of rap is Jay-Z successfully. Wayne has't been good since Drought 3 in a majority of real lil wayne fans not bandwagons.

Why go against them when you can collaborate with them?

The album was a mainstream hit that was highly successful. Opinion and 21st. I loved the album but it didn't "save hip-hop

I LOL'd after you made that ridiculous false statement, which is even funnier is that Wayne himself said he liked carter 3 a lot but said it's still not fucking with carter 2. And carter 3 was good borderline great. But anyways Wayne didn't save hiphop i dont think when 100% rappers trying to be like wayne is saving hip hop. i think he highly contributed to savinh hip hop once people realized no one could fuck with him Until Drake came along. Then people starting to realize maybe being real is better than being fake in hip hop. Thus all these great artist are coming out. I'd say Drake who mainly changed the game. but Weezy's mixtape talent changed everything and letting people download his shit for is what put on a course for hip hop. Who you now gives out free music? Only wayne because he loves rap but currently i think he is bored and tired of it a reason why most of his song he doesn't murder the hook anymore or kill rappers when featured.
