i understand it like he's saying, that label told Wayne to do Lollipop just for huge sale, i don't think it was like that, Weezy just make a hit song as he said 'for fun'.

It doesn't matter whether he made it for fun or to increase sales, the point is that song made C3 sell a lot more than it would've without it.

I think Carter II is his best album.
Carter III definitely put Wayne on another level, going internationaly known etc... I guess without this album the Young Money movement wouldn't have been this strong.
And Carter I is fire but not as good as the two next.

Just hope that Carter IV will go harder than the first three Carter!

C3, I guess it's an era thing and I might of prefered C2 if I heard it when it was first out.

Thats called selling yourself out, numbers aren't everything. i would rather an album to be fire and sell 40,000 than to be mainstream and sell 1,000,000. Its quality that matters.

Carter 3 for me, had a great mix of lyrical topics, beat selection, flows & mainstream and rawer shit- plus at the time he was everywhere and I had just discovered him through a few collabs in 2007, being in Scotland I felt I was the shit being in on this huge American rapper that my friends were sleeping on lmao...aw man 2008 was a hell of a year
