i'm not sure you know what consistency means.....to say he was hot in 08-09 then hot again now is pretty much the definition of inconsistency.....and ye has won more Grammys then wayne has been nominated so how is wayne's career > ye's career.......how can you say that wayne is better artist overall? ye raps, sings, and is one of the better producers out there? wayne raps and is a mediocre at best singer...and just because ye isn't dropping a verse on everyone's song doesn't mean he isn't working with everyone......rapping wise wayne is better but career and overall artistic ability, ye > wayne.....

Second, yes i am. Who else hops on everyone's song? Kanye sure as hell doesn't.
and wtf you mean by Lollipop being consistent? unless that was sarcasm, then i didn't catch it.

* Consistency, he's done it in 2007-08 and is now doing it in 2011.
* Wayne's been around doing this for about 20 years now.

It was taken out of context but whatever. Just cause Wayne remixes tracks or has features doesn't make him consistent WTF. Again Wayne DD3-D2 was immense, but since then it's been ehhhhhhhh. Flashes of brilliance is shown eg. Dr.carter or even Fuck Today but been sandwiched with bullshit like American Star or Gonnoreah. Kanye is yet to slump, his experimental album 808's was excellent and it showed in sales and later reviews. Rebirth flopped in both categories. Listen to Jesus Walks, Diamonds from Sierra Leone or any tracks from MBDTF.
My arguments where given before, please read back, they were:
His albums performed better critically and on average sold more and finally Kanye has won more awards even though like you said Wayne has been the game for 20 odd years.

I will always prefer Kanye over anyone. I am his biggest fan and Im THE KANYE STAN.
With that being said, recently all ive been listening too is IANAHB and Rebirth. Wayne songs dont seem to get 'old' whereas I can become bored of a Kanye song pertty quickly.

i've longgg been in favor of wayne in this debate.

it seems like a lot you guys take your own interpretation of what art is.
and feel totally fine with calling kanye a great artist and then dismissing waynes art.

wayne's rapping is his art.
every four minute burst, every tangent that he goes on,
everything that you hear out of his voice, alll that you hear in a record.

is wayne making his art.

they have different philosophies.
but that doesn't necessarily mean one is better than the other.

for a long time
i thought wayne's explosiveness was supreme.
to kanye's calculation and highly produced efforts.

and going back i think that still holds up.

but going forward and with longevity in mind.
kanye's style holds up a lot stronger. he's more involved in his process.
and the music is showing that kanye is more willing to grow as an artist and musician.

where wayne has stagnated for the past few years.

but then thats what made run so special.

everybody is going to be able look at kanyes work and say oh wow what a great career.
that how he works, for his art to be admired for posterity.

wayne is for the moment.
in the moment. the only ones who will realllly know.
how great wayne was are those that experienced it.

but he's gone away from that now.

so at this moment.
im going kanye.
