    1. its important to see where the album is going
    2. if 67 is dropped and john is just promo then C4 is completely under wraps music wise

i wasnt complaining i was just answering why they needed to focus more on C4. and usually all artists....not just rappers...when they come out with a song you at least know if its going to be on their next album if its new. i understand its not fully waynes choice but when they say this is the first single off C4 and then it isnt on the album that just looks bad

no confirmation that john is on C4
you dont see anything on TV having to do with C4
      no recent single
      no promo
But we know that a mainstream single is about to drop.
And there is promo. I dont see how a sold out tour is not promo. Advertisements/posters etc will come closer to the release.
And anyway a mainstream hit doesnt = huge numbers. Look at all the albums with mainstream singles that flop.
When your established with a huge fanbase and your album is anticipated and has been for years and people actually expect it to be great and want to see how it turns out, your gonna sell.
I dont see how everyone on here is saying there isnt hype, what do you have like, a meter or something showing you the level of hype?
Its actually talked about a fuckin lot.

Yeah, he's been on a lot.

probably a total of 50+ features.

He just recorded a full album.
Probably working on some unreleased albums (T-Wayne, Can't Feel My Face, etc)

He's got a lot under his belt right now, no homo.

them dropping the mainstream single will be a huge step that needs to happen ASAP. i think it may end up being the lead single if rumors are true about 6"7" being left off
the tour is great..dont get me wrong..but i was talking more on the advertisements / billboards / TV stuff like that. and with him saying May 16 at almost every place that promo is pretty much irrelevant.
i agree that the mainstream hit doesnt equal huge numbers but no classic album is missing one...for any genre of music. true fans will hopefully buy the CD anyway but its the people who arent die hard fans that buy his album that are going to give it classic selling numbers.
im in college at a big university and i can ask somebody random and they either dont know when C4 is being released, or they say sometime in May because 75% dont know its been pushed back unless you keep up with it on the internet.

Too bad you wont see where the album is going until the actual tracklist drops. Artist don't announce whether or not it ends up as a promotional single or an official single for the album. If it fails as a single they'll classify it as a promo single and drop another if not it'll be an official.

you can see where its starting to go before you see the tracklist. people who arent die hard fans or on here everyday go by what they hear on the radio and wont see the tracklist til they see it on itunes or on the back of the CD cover.

The tour was promo in that it hyed Wayne up... not that it got the release date out. That will be done when they are 110% sure about everything. The advertising will come closer to the date and when everything is 110%.
The date could still get changed, you never know. I doubt it though.
The official date for Pink Friday came out a month or less before it was released, am I wrong? So they dont need that long to get it out.

oh yea it definitely got him back out there i completely agree but i dont think they should have been telling 90% of the shows that it was May 16 thats all i was saying about that. i dont think the date will be changed again either unless there are major leaks and im not expecting them to be %110 about everything right this very second because he still has 2 months pretty much. but as far as singles go they should have had a plan for that and be 110% as to what the first 2 singles should be by this point. they just need to start promoting very soon starting with whenever this big single drops
