I don't recall in any interview of them mentioning that was a date they were just aiming for.

That link doesn't mean anything though. That was the official confirmation it was pushed back right? Anything before that? Like during an interview or concert footage where Wayne yells do you know what date we're aiming for.

They thought they would have had everything that needed to be done (mixing, features etc.) by that date, they were aiming for it in other words... so they announced it as the date. Then they realized it was unrealistic so they "had to push it back".

As soon as another interview comes out this week or something later about the single you'll probably say they were aiming to release it 3-4 weeks ago, but something came up. Right, and quote that interview? Lol
