"Disgusting" is garbage and what is played on NYC hip hop radio has been irrelevant for almost a decade.

Its exposure. His fans tuned in to see him. Ofcourse exposure is good, that's one of the main reasons artists perform.

fine. then by your logic, "Disgusting" being played every single hour on two NYC hip hop stations is also exposure. and I would argue that the number of hip hop fans listening to Hot97 and Power105 every day is higher than the total number of hip hop fans watching Mary J Blige on ABC at 8pm on a Sunday night.

Actually you probably get more exposure from performing at an award show than in Cole's case a song that doesn't get much radio play.

Bottom line, you made a weak comparison. Cole's promotion is one of the most painful topics for his fans, especially when you compare to how Drake blew up. Not to mention, the machine behind Wayne and these megastar artists is nothing to be fucked with. A call can get appointments on t.v shows, award shows etc. Just one call away.

I'm not saying that Wayne needs to start listing J. Cole as his idol. But imagine if Wayne went on Twitter right now and posted a hulkshare link to a 4 minute song that's straight rap, no chorus, like J. Cole just did an hour ago. The internet would crash.

All I'm saying is that if Wayne was doing what J. Cole is doing right now, he and C4 would instantly have 100x the buzz.
