  • Where is Lil Wayne Lyrically!?

Remember in the interview with Shade 45 Weezy told drama that 6'7 would show where he is at lyrically? Well I'm curious of where ya'll think Tunechi's at lyrically. Me giving my honest opinion I would rate him a 6/10 but he also has dope metaphors and similies to back his lyrics up! I think Weezy was more lyrical back when he did Dedication1 and 2! What do ya'll think?

I think he's gonna start saying "if these niggas (insert animal) then blah blah blah" a lot more but aside form that 8/10 lyrically specially due to metaphors

Better than 2009/2010, very close to 2008, which is imo one of his prime years
"Armed and dangerous, rich and famous, young and restless
              Guns and stretchers
              Cristal and dubs for breakfast
I just got one suggestion - none should test him
'Cause cuz get hectic; send one through your sons intestines
Glocks knock lungs from chests, you get the portrait?
Bodies piled up on porches, it won't be gorgeous"

He Keeps Going Different To Be Honest. On Tha Carter II He Rapped Quite Fast And It Didn't Have That Many Punchlines, Tha Carter III Was Slower On Alot Of Songs And He Had Great Lyrics. I Am Not A Human Being Was Far To Slow For My Liking And The Lyrics Got Dull Very Fast.

In 6,7, Fire Flame Remix & Look At Me Now He Uses Lyrics Better Than Carter III And Same Pace As Carter II. What Could Be Better?

def sounds his best since 08 maybe......he's using better punchlines and free-association metaphors more often...

Re: Where is Lil Wayne Lyrically!?

His manipulation of words and phrases is the best I've ever seen...The depth of his subject content is very shallow and that is the weakest part of his lyrical ensemble...Another weak part is being consistent and staying on topic in his verse, he says alot of random shit.....in terms of skill level in rap he is one of the best skill wise....and that includes word manipulation, metaphors, similes, and delivery...What makes him a great rapper, which is not debatable, is that his energy, work ethic, presence on a record, ability to perform and take a different angle on approaching a record is undisputedly one of the best the rap game has ever seen

I agree big time on this, and I'm sure almost everyone else do.
