Tbh I don't know why they thought they could get away with the name John Lennon...didn't he already get in trouble for the song "Help" because the Beatles didn't want their name or songs associated with Rap?

You're thinking of Playing With Fire. Which is a Rolling Stones song "Play with Fire".
"Help" is a Beatles song and in Lil' Wayne's, he samples their voice and even says "I'm from the dirty where the Beatles and John Lennon be at."
