My logic/thoughts on why it may have been in the cards:

They used to work together a fair bit, and Soulja did production for some songs that got released, but I've always just guessed there were more with how much he used to produce and how much Wayne used to record.

It would make sense to me for him to try to sign him back in the day and have SODMG be an imprint under YM (potentially)
