  • Wayne’s legacy with no mixtapes

With Datpiff being shut down, what would Wayne’s legacy be like if there were no mixtapes. Is he still the greatest ever with just albums and features.

I believe yes but no doubt some of my fav Wayne verses and moments came from mixtapes. IMO his best verse ever is Ambitionz on dedication 2. One of his most iconic moments was cannon. Some of his greatest rapping is on da drought 3 blow lil weezyana the dedications and no ceilings. And sftw.

Carter 2 is still top 5 gangsta/street rap albums of all time in the same vein as Ready To Die, Illmatic, Reasonable Doubt and The Infamous.

No because “Mixtape Weezy” is what makes him the GOAT.

Nope, mixtapes are a huge part of Wayne's catalog.

As much as I love Wayne's music and majority of his studio albums, but if never made a mixtape n his entire catalog didn't include all of his mixtapes including the Sqad Up tapes, then honestly he wouldn't have the GOAT status he has currently. Alot of people would not consider him the best rapper alive and throw him in any Top 10 lists if it wasn't for his mixtape legacy tbh. Mixtape Weezy is just a whole different monster that was untouchable killing everybody's beats. Don't get me wrong, he would still be one of my favorite artists with just his album and features catalog, but to keep it 100 he would not be who he is today if it wasn't for his mixtapes
