  • Ghostwriter?

I'm not at all saying that Wayne has one, or had one, but I remember Gillie Da Kid saying he wrote for Wayne. So I was curious if there was any sort of proof of this? Or was it just a rumor?

He later said he never wrote for Wayne and it was more of a coaching thing

I just got one suggestion - none should test him

XXL: Were you straight writing verses for Wayne, or was it more of a coaching thing?

Gillie: No, Wayne had good breath control, so it was really more of a study thing.

Wayne was a good lyricist way before Gillie entered the picture. IMO, Lights Out is when the progression started, and that album came out two years before Gillie joined Cash Money. Wayne was also showing improvement on the Sqad Up mixtapes and 10,000 bars. The only thing Gillie did was improve Wayne's flow. However, Gillie did write a lot for Birdman.

Wow I always thought Gillie really wrote the album.

Off Topic: When did 10,000 bars come out, because if Gillie helped out with the album.....

Do you know when he first wrote them? Like, did he write them in 2000, and then record them in 2001? Or were they all written in the year 2001?

Why did that 'new single' article say pitbull wrote a song for him?

It didn't say that. Jim Johnson said he had pitbull help him (as in jim Johnson) write the song
