The problem isn't the album , its tha fans. Niggas can't appreciate the album for wat it is. The man wasn't trying to be dope, he was putting out some music that could be enjoyed by the people in this day and age....
Almost every Wayne album has had a different audience, its called growth

Lights Out - Tha Carter 1 He was targeting people from his hood

Tha Carter 2 was for hood every where, if you from the hood you can relate to that album.

Tha Carter 3 Basically his introduction to every one because of the single lollipop..

Rebirth Showed diversity as an artist

I Am Not A Human Being - Keep his name relevant while he was gone..

Tha Carter 4 - Showed he's grown as an artist, to show that his thought process has changed. He views every thing different now

I like that thought process. Niggaz will just call it an excuse, and it is, but it makes sense.

              How to Love.
Seriously though, how many rappers do you know make a song like that? It's something different from the usual money-pussy talk (which is still largely present in C4 though). For once, Wayne sings without Auto-Tune. If that ain't growth, I don't know what is.

If you read through Abortion's lyrics in the first verse

I woke up this morning, d*ck rock hard
Ashed my blunt in my Grammy Award
You can save your bullshit on your memory card
If this real n*gga business, then you n*ggas unemployed
Jumped on the celly, called Machiavelli
He says he was gravy, I say I was jelly
Looked in the mirror, said "You's an ill n*gga"
Then I ran to the money like track and field n*gga
Now I think I'll have me a coffee with six sugars
In a world full of ass-kissers and d*ck pullers
I'm tryna walk a straight line but the line crooked
I'm shooting for the stars, astronauts dodge bullets
Yeah, I bought a brand new attitude
The haters music to my ears, I got my dancin' shoes
Sometimes we question shit that there is no answer to
                      But I just built a house on "I don't give a f*ck" Avenue
he will find that he is describing him self in a house, then he ends him his verse with "I just built a house......."

i feel this verse is a double entendre verse.

Come on guys let be real....the only song that he took a risk on was "How To Love"......and I actually like that song, its the only record without random ramblings....Wayne has done everything else on a greater scale on most of his other albums...so I still don't see growth...If you mentioned "Rebirth" then I can agree that showed his growth subject matter wise...but other than that.....nope...Carter IV was also one of his worst albums lyrically...Just my opinion
