you see Jay/Ye fans are loyal . so are other artists' fans. Problem with wayne fans is that they get influenced by haters and believe that they were ignorant before and they're gonna look smart if they start hatin on wayne

Its not even about being loyal....Jay fans hated Kingdom Come so much and they expressed that...They didnt hate Jay, they hated his music at time...his rhymes were off, the beats, the songs just weren't what they wanted to hear.....You're saying because you're a fan that you have to like everything somebody does....Well during 07 - 11....I discovered a different side of rap that intrigued and that is the lyrical side...The Dre's, Cole, K Dots.Lil Wayne....I will always fuck with Wayne.....but my appetite for rap has grown beyond non conceptual ramblings about money and drugs...and (terrible metaphors)...now if Wayne still rapped his ass off I wouldn't mind the subject matter because the skill was there.....(Im not saying you shouldn't love Carter IV because of course some one is gonna love it..as a seasoned fan who listens to Wayne every day...who've seen his growth and maturity...expected a mature wayne, a more focused Wayne, a Wayne that just did a bid and wrote fans letters, a deeper more introspective.....plus all of the old stuff that made him who he is today....

the amount of people ive seen come on here with Lollipop as their favourite song or whatever then 100 posts later talking about anybody who has C3 as their fav album isnt a real fan and acting like they dont give a shit about whetever Wayne drops. lolz. its whatever though.

Just listening to some of the old C4 songs again. The likes of Red Rum, I Told Y'all, No Quitter etc. Imagine how good some of the songs that haven't leaked from that period are aswell. This is why it is bollocks when reviewers say that C4 is three years of work. Half of the songs potentially for C4 had already leaked regrettably. Those beats were insane aswell. After jail, Wayne was pressurised to re-record and release C4 as soon as possible. C4 ended up being a less than nine month project where it deserved more. For the time allocated, C4 is a quality album. This is why I think C5 is going to be a whole another level. Wayne has time to choose the best possible beats he can get, where with C4 he will have settled for some that were not as high quality as he would have liked. Also made it harder for Wayne to get features that he may have wanted on the album. The likes of Eminem, Kanye etc. have had busy years themselves with their own albums and shows.

The Bonus Tracks are definitely better than the most on the actual album. Mirror speaks for itself, Novacane is just... I can tell that the chorus is one of the best ever, in tracks where Wayne is involved. Up Up & Away is simply sick, but it's nothing special, imo. But OK. He's da martian. But one of my favourites of C4 is really I Got Some Money On Me. I mean besides Baby ("gimme a hunnit... in hunnits... one hunnit" srsly?! ) the song is just raw! I like his flow on this one (and Blunt Blowin) the most of the whole album... And in lines like "and everybody with me strapped, tell them hoes adapt/Shoot ‘em in his head, he dead before he collapse/Young Money we the crap, no salary cap/Money talks bitch and mines yap, yap, yap" his flow is crazy. Plus the beat is the shit.

Gawd damn President Carter GOAT wayne track. Defines exactly what he does and who he is. If songs like John , Intro , How to Hate woulda been replaced with other songs ... damn this would be a classic tbh those are the only songs i skip when i play the album I enjoy this album the most but fact remains C2 is GOAT wayne album

Just bought my two hard copies.
Went to one HMV and all that was left was one Rebirth CD and one C3 CD. Went to another and they'd just re stocked the shelves.

The dude at the counter was like "Have you heard this yet?" me - "Yeah of course" him - "What do you think" me - "I love it" him - "Its a great album man..."
