  • Why did Lil' Wayne withdraw his support for The Carter?

First off let me start by saying that if there is already a thread about this, I am truly sorry. I know how people like to have this forum clean and tidy and I don't mean to spam.

Okay so today I watched the The Carter documentary, and my question is.. does anyone know why has Lil' Wayne withdrawn his support for the documentary before its release?
And although we started this film with Mr. Carter's blessing, he has since withdrawn his support.

It made him look like a drug addict and a horrible father.

I'm paraphrasing here, but when Nae Nae was interviewed there was a question like 'What's the best gift he's given you?' She says 'Him being here.' and the camera just sits there for a few seconds.

It just looks bad whether it's true or not.

The best thing a father can give is being there. There's no materialistic item she could have named that would have compared.
That's just how I see it though

                And I totally understand man.

He looked like a drugaddict, a bad father, a crazy and boring personality and a bad friend. And he's NOT like that at all.

Not quite sure about the crazy and boring personality not even sure if you can put those two descriptions in the same sentence mate.. Yea a bit crazy but in no way did it look like he had a boring personality lol.

And as many have said, yea he thought the video potrayed him in a bad way, which in some cases is true with all the weed and syrup and also the questions with his daughter but still, that is a side to him that is very true and intimate which is why I loved the Documentary so much and why I think it's rated one of the best Hip Hop arist Documentarys out there. Yea maybe it's more of his bad side compared to what he is now or even in the past before his addiction but still it was a good documentary because as I said it is a true side of him and a huge chunck of his life with all that stuff. I can totally understand why he wouldn't want it out though...

Just ask yourself the question, if you were addicted to syrup and high on weed all the time, would you want a documentary on you showing the world? It can be a very personal thing.

It's so crazy seeing how he used to record some songs with little or no emotion in the movie. It's also very cool in a way to see just how bad the syrup and weed made him. Something we probably would never have seen if didn't come out.

He also looked like a horrible role model. I'm thinking back to the scene where he's telling Twist that he has to fuck bitches because he is Young Money. Twist was about 15 i think. But it just made him look really bad and caught him at some of his lower points.
