That's just a few that I pulled, nothing on C3 can stack up to him at this point. He was climbing to the top and was out rhyming everybody that was doing it. There was very very minimal hunger on C3, barely any honestly. He showed small glimpses of it on some songs, but C1 and C2 was like that thru the WHOLE album. He was cocky with it, idk he just isn't that way anymore. Most of C3 made no fucking sense, I didn't even realize it until somebody pointed it out to me. I understand a lot of ppl got into Wayne from C3, so I get how a lot of ppl consider it his best album. However, if you were riding with Wayne before C3, I honesty don't know how you can even consider it better than just "ok". I hope C4 is a step up from C3.

nope i didnt get tired of it, played it for a long time after its release

Yea very true Cody! This is what we should be getting, threads like this for a good talk not the shit that some people post. You are so right, when I bang C2, C3 they are just so good, then I listen to stuff that he has released since prison and although you like it because it's Wayne it just doesn't have the same feeling to it, and I know he is in a different phase but like most people are saying, it's like he doesn't try now, he just does a song, fills it with constant punchlines and he never used to do that shit, it's like he is doing it to do something quick. To me it just doesn't feel like that pure passion he put into his music back then is in it now! I mean all this talk he mentions about him not being the best anymore and he might retire soon just shows that his attitude towards it isn't the same anymore. I know he wants to retire for the right reasons (his kids) but he would never have said that shit back then. He would be walking about saying he is the best and dropping a tune so sick that I can still listen to it now over and over.

Oh well maybe C4 will be a flop in comparison to his other Carters, and who knows it might put things in perspective for him and he might just come back to old Wayne. Regardless Can't wait for C4 to drop always gonna be a massive Wayne fan and a loyal supporter!

Don't even know what you are talking about, albums are not being compared.

the problem for me nowadays with waynes songs is, that they dont have any replay for me, they are mad boring. when i listen to drake or old wayne songs i loved to play the songs the whole day and most of the time i couldnt wait to hear them again.

Kid cunner is speakin the truth about c3 most "real" lil wayne fans don't fuck with that album, and I know a bunch of ppl that stopped listening to him after that. He just don't have that same passion anymore listen to his old songs like scarface, something you forgot, i'm me ect. u can hear the hunger. Same thing happened with 50 cent, on get rich or die tryin u can hear the hunger, then he got rich and stopped tryin. Him sellin a milli copies was the downfall of his career he doesn't care about bein the best anymore.

In a interview a while back, Wayne said he wasn't sure if he's still the best rapper alive anymore. That right there shows he fell off.

I dont think its that Wayne doesnt care anymore. Idk why yall keep sayin that. How do yall know he doesnt still care about being the best or still has that passion? Ever consider he just got worse lyrically? That happens you know. Even though Wayne is still young he's been rappin for a very long time. Eventually you just arent as good. It happens to everybody. Happened to Jay Z even. But just like Jay, Wayne has shown flashes that he still has it. Questioning his motivation and passion is stupid imo. Listen to "Rollin" and tell me he doesnt still have that passion. He just isnt as good. Period. As is, he's still better than Most. With the amount of time he's spent on C4 im expecting it to be pretty good. This aint some rushed Mixtape (S4TW) or just some songs thrown together (IANAHB). This is Tha Carter.

Funny thing is I was a big time Wayne fan a year before the albums release, it was Wayne at the height of his career, and he executed it quite well except for Lollipop and Got Money.
