I was extremely disappointed that he didn't rap more about his experiences at Rikers. Nobody can just go to prison for eight months and then leave with nothing having changed. Hell, Drake referenced it more on C4 than Wayne did. When he says things like "Have it your way, Burger King" on an album with this much hype, it's just frustrating as a fan who wants to see him be at the top of his game, especially in Tha Carter series.

You know spend time with his kids/family, collect his thoughts, then sometime next year slowly come back to the rap game. Also I think when he collabs with other artists, they should both be in the studio at the same time so the process can be more creative instead of just emailing songs back and forth. Anyone agree?

I think he should come out and get back to work. I'm waiting for an album with Gunna and Like Father Like Son 2. If he stops then what will be the purpose of this website & forum. What happened to the shit he wrote when he was locked up?

this. the problem is that with so much music shit starting to sound the same i mean weezy f baby and the f is for... fill in the blank. i do think a small break after this album wont hurt him bt i think that wayne has proved that when he wants he can create new fresh songs

Yeah, I know. I was saying that in his music, Weezy acted like nothing had changed for him at all. He just largely ignored his eight months in prison, which I'm sure disappointed a lot of his fans. I probably should have made that clearer in my last post. My bad.

Wayne will always be a rapper that raps about pussy, guns, bloods etc with the occasional bit about his life. He said it himself, he can't stay on topic. It's how he always rapped. Doubt me? What was Drought 3 about?

C 2 and C 1 had a general tone of him wanting to be at the top but still with talk about the usual stuff. his subject matter wont change much imo. What yall mean is, you want wayne to find new motivation.

Yeah he has never had THAT much substance, but he didn't recycle lines as much as he does now though, plus his flow wasn't as boring, plus he didn't have shitty voice filters.
