At the moment i think he is just staying in his comfort zone which he never used to do, so I wouldn't say he the best rapper alive right now but as a true weezy fan ill say that if he actually got his hunger to be the best again it be very possible he would shit on other rappers

best relevant and active rapper alive but as you said hes in the comfort zone and just puts enough in it for his material to sell...nothing amazing like back in 07..

Comfort zone is a good word for it I think. Tbh I think a legit beef with Jay-Z would really help him. He needs motivation from somewhere to push the envelope.

Nah the Best Rapper Alive era has been ended...

He needs to get that mentality back tbh... When he hears a great verse by someone else, instead of saying "I ain't calling myself the best no more, these niggas is too good," he needs to say "Fuck that nigga, I'll show him what a great verse is. I'm the best rapper alive." But it's understandable for him to not do that, I mean look at how well C4 is selling. Not like he needs to do better for people to buy his shit. And I don't mean that I don't like C4, I think it's a very good album, but it's definitely not his best work.

C4 wasn't good to me. Like I said in another thread. I'd be happy with a good album that didn't sale a lot rather than a bad one that sells a lot. Quality > Quantity. His whole strategy before C3 was to hop on every track and get his name out and get the people to think he's the Best Rapper Alive. That strategy doesn't work to well with C4 because his name is already out there, I think he should've chilled with getting on everybody's song, and just focused on C4.

You can also tell that he's just less focused on his music in general these days. You see him out more, talks about wanting to spend time with his family, touring for months on end where recording anything worthwhile is difficult. Another thing that's understandable, I mean no matter how much you love something, if you do it essentially all day every day for years there's gonna come a point that it wears on you and you get burned out. I think I agree with what EastsideBoi was saying in his thread, it would be good for him to just take a few months away from music, spend time with his family, clear his head (get that supa dupa bullshit out of there), come up with some new ideas, then come back refreshed and ready to spit fire again.

Also, it wouldn't be the worst thing for him to get on blogs etc. and see what people are saying about his music. Find out what people like (and keep doing it) and what they don't like (and fix it).

Lil Wayne was never the Best Rapper Alive or the Best Rapper ever.He is one of the best but not even close to the 1# spot.
Eminem is by far the Greatest ever.Nobody can't fuck with him.
He is a lyrical monster,he has by far the most fans worldwide.
He has by far the most sales in hip-hop history.
He is the only rapper in the history of hip-hop with 2 Diamond albums=10 x Platinum(When Weezy has one album with 3x platinum CIII)
And he is bigger than hip-hop.

Also Biggie Smalls,Rakim,Nas,Jay-Z,Ice Cube and other are Greater than Weezy.
Weezy is at #18-20 ever.And this is great for him because hip-hop have a lot of legends.
