  • Was Dedication 1 Really Nessesary?

I'm bored of C4 so I went back a few years and started bangin' old Wayne mixtapes. I started listening to Dedication 1 and realized something, there is only one 'New' song on it, Everything else is a dupe or blend of a song from Young Money: The Mixtape or an interlude/live audio of a song we already have. Here's what each song is a dupe/blend of if anyones intrested

So now I'm wondering what tha hell tha point of D1 was, Why couldnt DJ Drama juss tag up YM: The Mixtape instead of basically droppin a mixtape twice.
I know this isn't that thread worthy, just thought i'd share .

    D1 was better than S4TW ...
    So yeah it was necessary.

            Which one came out first?
I don't event think Youn Money: The Mixtape was an official mixtape

YM: The Mixtape came first and its official.

And like why couldnt Wayne/Drama juss made YM: The Mixtape D1, woulda been easier then making two mixtapes tht are basically the same

YM the mixtape had other members of YM all through it. D1 was about promoting Wayne exclusively. Also, D1 is stronger as a whole than having to listen to other YM members.
Also some of the beats were changed and it may have been a legal thing (there were CD copies of D1 in Best Buy at one point. Dont know if that would have been possible with YMMixtape).
The only things I think should have been kept from YM mixtape: The original beat for "Nah this ain't the Remix" and that Bone influenced track.

Wayne put on for Young Money hard in D3 and the only beat Drama actually made was the one for Nah This Ain't The Remix, all the other songs with new beats are other people's beat, for example the beat for 'Motivation' is a T.I. beat, they were still copyrighted.

he could release a mixtape with Stilettos repeated for tracks 1 thru 16 and I'd be happy. fucking love that track.
