"So It was July of 2000. I was sent out to New Orleans to shoot stills behind the scenes of Juvenile's single "I got the fire" We would be filming where all of the Cash Money Boys grew up, The Magnolia Project, otherwise known as the 'Nolia. I can remember driving through the projects before reaching the site. We were in a white cargo van. My boy Linwood Harper was filming video out the front seat of the van just grabbing footage of the area. I heard him say, " Why are all these cats falling down and diving off their stoops"? I immediately looked over to his side and what I saw were people literally throwing themselves to the ground as we drove by. They totally thought the video camera out the window was a gun. A sort of drive by shooting if you will. We pulled up to the heavily crowded area where they were staging talent, gear, food etc.. for the video. We got out and the first person I saw was Lil Wayne. He was hanging with his friends by his new yellow SLK. I asked him if I could take his picture and he said, "Take a picture of this, Bitch" and he flipped me the bird. I knew from that moment on I would like him. We were properly introduced a few minutes later and met up with the Cash Money Boys aka Juvi, Lil Wayne, Baby, Manny Fresh, Turk, and BG. I spent most of the day on the roof top of the projects photographing them and then hit up Bourbon Street to end the night."
