Omarion was signed; he confirmed it to some radio station I believe, but he said that he was allowed to opt out of his contract. If you gave me an hour to research some things, I could name at least 100 artists to be signed and dropped (or left on their own) without releasing an album.

And you are talking to someone that thinks Tha Carter IV is Lil Wayne's best work; I really don't see anything going downhill after Tha Carter II. Many people on here, including myself, believe that if Tha Carter III Sessions were an official studio album, that would be his best work, and, as far as I am aware, most of those songs were recorded after Curren$y's departure.

For instance, YMCMB has complete authority over when they would like to set the release date of an album as, the single selection, the album cover, and many other facets of the music industry.
