Obviously it got good reviews once it came out... On Metacritic 23 of the 26 reviews are positive, none are negative. That in general is an extremely positive review.

he was pretty much a media darling by then.
his buzz was retarded. and it was the mainstream.
finally catching up with what wayne was doing.
those positive reviews are as much about what he did.
leading up to the album as the sales.

And Having Andre 3k & Tech on a track? The Outro..

Overall.. it didn't leave to the hype but it was very well.

im not sure how you feel about c1.
but if you look at those old reviews.
its like they hard took the time.
to listen to the album. they were already.
dismissing it before even giving it a chance.
they just stated the obvious. waynes flow got better.
but i think a lot more than that happened on that album.
its just that at this time it wasnt the fashion to give wayne his due.
so when carter three came around its almost like a makeup call.
its definitely a good album. dont get me wrong.
but anything higher than an 8.5 is a reach.
it really depends on the reviews.
what they decided to hold up.
where did they take points off.

i just cant say an album with got money. phone home. mrs officer. and la la. is a great record.
those are four records. that i might never listen to again.

Carter 3 was an average ass album imo. C4 is probably just as good as it, but gets way more hate.

C3 was average, but it had at least some really dope tracks which are missing on C4.
