Sold better? Not at all, the Carter series is a brand now, the name alone is what sells.

They're absolutely better quality though.

no..i mean, if you took the flow, and all that from those mixtapes, and named it an album "the carter 4" it would have been liked more and sold more

Cons: to me the album sounds like a mix between IANHB and S4TW. This album is a prime example of a rapper bein comfortable where he is and just going thru the motions, worst intro song in the carter series by far, and if u dont have the deluxe, it hurts even more that he isnt on 2 of his own tracks, hashtag flow is so 2009, low budget sounding beats
Pros: despite the negative, this is one of the few carter albums that i can listen to all the way thru without skipping once, wierd.

My biggest dissappointment were the lyrics, lazy flow, repetition, repetition, repetition, i repeat, repetition.
The bonus tracks were alright, the album is garbage.

maan I hate he didn't go megaman on every song. i feel like if a song like that or 6 foot was the intro, and he had songs like that thru the entire thing, c4 would have killed everything.....

My biggest disappointment would be wayne not spittin on the skits. And deluxe versions seperated. all extra tracks should have just been on deluxe edition. legit. no bullshit.

For me it wasnt even that the tracklisting had a total of 5 songs we'd heard already, minus 2 for the two songs wayne isnt even on. it wasnt even that i saw t-pain featured on a song which was bound to suck due to its title. it wasnt even that the tracklisting didnt have all the features he announced nor was it the fact that the beats were sub-par. MY biggest disappointment was when i excitedly put the CD into my computer, burned it and hit play on "intro"... "man fuck them bitches and them hoes. and these ni66as pussy, camel toe" like SERIOUSLY?? supa dupa flow in the FIRST fucking line?? compare the intro on c4 with c3.. it literally doesnt compare. its like a teenage youtube rapper being compared with one of the hardest lyricists of all time. honestly over 2 years of waiting and i get that?? i was so sad/

The lines just lacked. The lyrics weren't on par with what they should've been on a Wayne album.
The album sounds monotone. There aren't any like real raw emotion songs like Playin' With Fire. Mirrors is good, but nothing by comparison to past "emotion" songs.
The intro is just bad.
The songs with the most appealing or songs that have lines to put someone in awe were released as singles.
I like Nightmares of The Bottom, but I wonder why he used that flow.

I try my best to not steal music, but if I was into pirating I wouldn't have bought this.
I buy every Wayne album
