Time To Listen To Other Rappers

Everyone on here has been complaining and going off about how Weezy fell off, in some ways i agree in some ways i do not. Im a huge Tune fan and even though its obv that Weezy's lyrical flow has dropped since C3 i kept thinking of ways why that occurred.

Watching interviews from the past and interviews today ive noticed a huge difference, whenever Lil Wayne was asked about another rappers "new hit" or album in the past, he always had a comment, since C3 if he was asked the same question he would say he never heard it or had time to hear it.

For example,

Lil Wayne never heard "Not Afraid" by Eminem when asked by Funk during his interview on the phone

Also, Weezy never heard Watch The Throne

I think it might be time for weezy to start listening to others again, to see what other rappers are putting out there and what his competition is. In the past thats what made him hungry. Feels like his ego is in the way now. Time for lil wayne to listen, and learn...you can talk about other things than pussy and random punchlines.

in the past few years. hes gotten lazy.
and his shit is starting to sound formulaic.

like bruh. theres way too many good rappers.
making good shit and spitting hard for him be resting on his laurels.

at the end of the it falls on him.
but i place a lot of blame on ymcmb.
theyre money oriented not music.

if wayne was surrounded by kanyes people.
for example. wed have a monster who might not ever fall off.

... I don't really know. I mean, if Wayne's not really listening to what other rappers are putting out then... how would he pick beats for his mixtapes? If you recall, Wayne has put out 2 mixtapes post-C3.
I think that Wayne is just lying about not having listened to other rappers. Just so people won't annoy him when he makes songs that are similar to them.
