Just a thought here.. I know whenever an artist drops singles for an upcoming album its to hype it up and such, make a vid for it and all. But i was thinkin, do you think it lessens the value of the album? ex. C4 we had 6.7. John, HTL, She Will. All good tracks (yes i like HTL ) then we get the album and its basically multiple songs that we really don't want to listen to any more because we were bumpin them long before the album dropped. Same for Cole World. Good album but like 6 of the songs were already released before the album and just ruins it a little for me. Same with Take Care like Headlines and The Motto. Anyone else see what I'm sayin?

Re: Do Singles for Albums ruin Albums?
Take Care and Cole World were in repeat without skipping a song. You are right for C4 tho.... so i guess it depends.. but C4 took too long for drop too..No matter how I hate flashbacks and rewinds
Can’t escape the pain that’s trapped in my mind

Well, I can only speak for myself, but singles do not ruin an album for me. I have listened to 6F7F over 500 times and HTL over 300 times since they were released as singles, and I still play through them when I listen to the entire album.

i dont think they ruin albums beacuse they are old and overplayed. I think they hurt albums because they are usually amoung the weakest songs on the album because they are made for a mainstream audience.
