His mind hasn't been 100% on the music. He's living life more and has realized he needs to after he spend 8 MONTHS IN PRISON. He does music no doubt. An album, mixtape, tons of features....he flooded the game as he normally does. But his mind was divided more than it ever has been with way more interest in just hanging out with the fam. He has kids who are growing up fast and he knows he has to be there for them. He also wants to spend time with his YMCMB fam. And he's skating now...meeting new people. He has a girlfriend that he's been with for a while now......Mr Carter is quite busy. And really why should he try? Tha Carter IV was his worst from Tha Carter series but it still sold 1 million copies 1st week. He stays racking up the cash with way less effort so why should he have the same hunger as he did in 2008?
Do I think he's going to snap back into 'hungry weezy' soon? Yup. I can feel it coming. I actually really like the verses he has put out recently and they've had some good substance to them. He has definitely heard the criticism people have given him since C4...he's just waiting for the right opportunity to show them who the boss really is.
