It's dope for what it is. Wayne made a very good, easy on the ear album with catchy beats, a handful of good punchlines and great features.

Granted I don't think he's one of the best to do it, however, he has built a legacy heavily on his attitude and character - he has a lot of it and I can see why a lot of rappers like Eminem, Nas and Tech have worked with and respect him. He's just a "let's go in and have fun" type of rapper and every rapper needs to step away from seriousness here and there.

I give credit when it is due, nice job Weezy

-also, Mirror with Bruno Mars is way too good to not have been on the standard track list. Bruno's singing is through the roof (way better and powerful than Lighters, compliments of the deep introspective beats).

This motion of it being a fun album and not comparing it to everything is stupid though...when Wayne himself made it seem like rappers would need to reconsider their careers because of this......I would've understood if you said that for Rebirth but Carter IV can't get that pass....Carter IV isn't more fun to listen to than any other Wayne album....most of his albums and mixtapes are fun to listen to and have lots of energy...plus Wayne is one of the top rappers in the game...anything he does will get compared...

As you can see, most Weezy fans are disappointed with Tha Carter 4.. Personally I think he's one of the best to do it because of his older music.. You should check out all of his mixtapes and albums to figure out why we think he's one of the best. He's not top 5 tho. Top 10

He does care though..otherwise he wouldn't submit songs for grammy nominations...and wouldn't make comments like " yea they slept on IANAHB"......he mentioned he wants to be the greatest artist ever....and in order to be that you must care what your listeners think...
