So...what got Lil' Wayne so pumped about skateboarding? I see vids of him skateboarding here and there, but what sparked his luv for skating? I mean, the dude travels with a portable quarter-pipe and ramp, goes out of his way to check out skateparks, taking lessons..
He's getting better, but not what I would call a "natural" at the sport.
If someone had told me before 2004 (pre-carter), that he would be skateboarding, I would call em crazy.

He just does what ever he wants to do regardless of what people think, he said in his public service announcement that he saw some kid about 11 years old or some shit doing tricks like a pro on TV and he wanted to try to do it... And everyone knows "Weezy goes hard about everything, Rap, singing, rock, everything"...

So yeah, guess it's just something deep down that he probably always wanted to try and do and now he felt was the right time. But only he would be able to answer your question...

Well said. If he keeps practicing, it would be interesting to see a montage or time-lapse video of his progress, since there are already a bunch of videos popping up online of Lil' Wayne skating and pulling off tricks.

yeah he just felt like trying it out. And he obviously has fun doing it. Of course he's no pro, but he hasn't been skating very long...

I think skatebording i a fase like that rock shit he was on , wayne ent a dope boy with a guitar anymore , in a year he willl forget about skateboarding and go back to rap/hip-hop when his probition is over , the carter5 will be FIRE
