all the older songs had some kind of theme like stuntin like my daddy/respect us. now its just comin up wit random lines on a song so all there is to do is stand in front of a green screen dancin round. how to love had a theme so it was a dope vid, hopefully mirrors is too if it ever comes out
ever since after tha carter 3 they havent really been doin vids out on location like they used too, i guess its cheaper but nuthin beats a vid shot in reality lol

That pretty much explains a majority of Lil Wayne's songs nowadays unfortunately. :/
Personally, I thought the music videos from back in the Hot Boy$ era were the best (and early 2000s). They always had their shit filmed straight off the streets of whatever neighborhood they were shooting in... I thought it was more realistic that way. And they always had crowds of random ass people in their videos. I just feel like all those factors gave their videos more life. Now most of Lil Wayne's videos just consist of him standing in front of a screen and rapping some lyrics while dancing around like a clown (although we do occasionally get some music videos that aren't like this and some are quite amusing, such as the "John" music video ), but still, they don't really have that Cash Money flavor like they used to.
