This album is going to be interesting. I know deep inside, people are anticipating this album just to see if Wayne can still make quality music. I'm lookin forward to another Right Above It and/or Single. Those were bangers! Even though Single was for No Ceilings. But this is either a recovery album or another flop for me. If it's a recovery, THANK GAWD! If it's a flop, no surprise. And I wanna see how it's gonna do in sales also

Gunna be a decent album imo. 700K first week no matter what. I expect a few dope features as well.

I'm just kidding actually. This album will be nothing like those songs, but what I don't understand is why this album won't be like those songs. It really isn't hard to replicate those types of songs:

1) Get a slow/low beat with a sample (StreetRunner and Wayne by far had the most success doing this.).
2) Get "into" the beat by saying things like "Yeah" (like he does in the La La La chorus) or the noises he makes at the beginning of Boom Bap before he begins to rap.
3) Talk about Hollygrove, your motivation, your success, your influences, etc. in order to make it so every line is not a metaphor.
4) Refrain from saying Tunechi; use Weezy, Birdman Junior, etc. instead.
5) Declare your superiority on EVERY song whether that comes in the form of "eating rappers" or "look[ing] up...[and not seeing] any."

I know that Wayne can do all of these things. I know that Wayne can rap like this again. I know that Wayne can become the Best Rapper Alive again. I just don't know that he wants to.

Your post may be right n all... but he doesn't _want_ to anymore, I believe. I mean why should he go back to that rapping style, if he can gain money like a muhfugga with his new style?

He made the most money off Tha Carter III, and I would be perfectly happy if he rapped like he did on Mr. Carter, Dr. Carter, Let The Beat Build, Shoot Me Down, Playing With Fire, and Tie My Hands. Why did he venture off from something that worked?

Money does not equal success. Success is measured intangibly. Wayne was successfully on his way to becoming the best rapper ever, and he just erred from that path.

He should consider another way of makin albums tbh. That "records-for-months-and-throw-random-songs-together" is just not good enough. He needs to focus on the atmosphere of the album and the topics of the songs...
But oh well I just hope it'll end up decent.
