So his album goes TRIPLE PLATINUM and he doesn't win a grammy? he's not the hottest mc in the game? people really do underrate lil wayne. He's the only rapper doing it right now. I mean No offense to Nikki Minaj, but she's overrated, alot. The only reason people like her is because shes a female rapper. If it wasn't for that song super bass, she would still be unknown by everyone. Drake deserved number 2. But lil wayne deserves better credit then he is given by everyone. I think they should all take a step back and realize what he has been doing since he got released from prison. He's been on top ever since. No doubt about it.

Re: WTF???
Face it. Lil Wayne fell down from that best rapper alive position. He's pretty shit now TriPle platinum only cuz of his name and fan base. Overall C4 didn't live up to its hype and wasn't his best work. # 5 is overrated tbh. New artists like Kendrick Lamar deserved to be on that list. IMO that list means nuthin. Wayne's fell off and hopefully he realizes this and starts tryin again like the C2 era.

Re: WTF???
First off, his album hasn't gone triple platinum. It has gone double platinum in the United States and it has not gone much further than that worldwide. I don't know why people are saying that Tha Carter IV went triple platinum and has sold 3.5 million copies worldwide. That is false. Whoever said that - probably Birdman - is lying. The album sold 64,000 copies outside of the United States in the first week . If you were to plot the sales outside of the United States starting with week one it would be an exponential function, meaning that the sales decreased dramatically in the first couple of weeks and then sloped off. By my estimates, the function of sales outside the United States would look something along the lines of f(x) = 9.015(0.9996)^(x) where x represents the week.
That means it is mathematically impossible for the album to have sold that many copies. It is also illogical. You people are all retards if you believe it sold that much. Danny, remove that blog post please.
It is also important to note that the artist that sells the most is not necessarily the best artist out. In my opinion, Tha Carter IV is Wayne's third best album and it was the second best album nominated for Best Rap Album of the Year at the Grammys. The album that won deserved to win.Last edited by Sportz; 02-22-2012, 08:30 PM.

Anyways, I just don't understand why Danny posted this false information on the blog. Danny is a smart guy, and he knows this doesn't make sense. Even if you don't calculate mathematically like I did with my approximations, just think logically. The god damn album only sold 64,000 copies outside of the United States in the first week. How could it sell 1.5 million copies outside of the United States in 4 months?
