  • Wayne & production

I was listening to this song and thinking, "this is a nice beat." Over the past years, mostly noted last year, Wayne's musical talents seem to have been on a downfall. Over the past years. production for some artist, has also been on the decline. I remember not too long ago Wayne saying that before he records he has to "feel" the beat. I also remember more recently Wayne saying that the beats of the time were wack. This lead me to wonder how much the music and Wayne's rapping cooperate. If you look back in 2011 Wayne has not wasted too many "hard" beats.

Examples of nice beats Wayne went though

    Wacker beats
(I don't think the verse is too bad)
    (Don't fuck with this song)
(Don't even really remember this one)

So, the main point of this thread is to discuss the role music production has had on Wayne's recent creations.
I searched through Proof's 2011 features list for "wack" beats and noticed 2011 wasn't that bad of a year.

I guess the songs where he sounds like he did on ''Gonnorhea'' is songs with beats he didn't feel, cause I think Drake, Mike Banger or Tez said Wayne didn't really feel ''Gonnorhea'' but he recorded it anyways.

the beat of the songs he didnt do amazing on have no feeling to them or really bring up a theme in your head, and like weezy said the beats have been shit, so for sure thats reflecting on the outcome, he has to settle for these half ass beats and just rhyme shit
