If you think positive for once in your life, you can see that it's all very simple: drop a few average features so that rappers would think Wayne lost the touch. And when they're not looking, Wayne would come back and kill everything.
I know that sounds far-fetched, but hey, it's apossibility right? Especially since we might hear C2 Wayne again.

With him laying back and doing average verses, he eliminated himself from the competition to make it easier for his team. It's kinda a fucked-up strategy, but it works.
