the majority of people that i know listen to lil wayne BUT they're also big fans of kendrick lamar, do kendrick lamar and lil wayne have some similarities? or am i just over thinking it?

When Wayne was still as great as he was his songs with subject matter were on a certain level. It's like they last without getting old. I can see this with Kendrick's music too.

Kendrick Lamar's sound have been changing but if you listen to his mixtape called C4 hosted by Ill Will with Carter 3 beats you see some early similarities here and there.
