Still Cool is the upcoming debut studio album by Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins of TLC. The album will soon to be released in the fall of 2011 by SRC Records, Cash Money Records, Rowdy Records and Universal Motown respectively. On August 14, 2007, Watkins spoke with fan website CyberTLC World about upcoming plans which included her solo album, which she had started recording three weeks earlier. She currently has 17 tracks completed and is planning on recording at least 30 songs before she selects the final track listing. During the interview, she also spoke about TLC's future as a band: stating it was not likely that there will ever be another album from the group, but that there could possibly be a farewell tour for their 20th Anniversary Celebration sometime in the summer of 2011 before she releases Still Cool.
In December 2007, Watkins signed a deal with Universal Motown's SRC subsidiary and Cash Money Records in 2011, as well as with music marketing firm, FYI Public Relations. She also is signed to Dallas Austin's Rowdy Records.
On September 17, 2008, T-Boz again gave a candid interview to Chris Wilson at CyberTLC World, announcing that she had collaborated with rapper Lil' Wayne and was slated to be working with longtime TLC producer Dallas Austin, as well as with Polow Da Don. Additionally, she spoke of two upcoming singles in Japan for her album (one solo single, and one with Chilli and rapper Lil' Kim), and a duet with Nicki Minaj for the album.
Dallas Austin, Dr. Dre, Tricky Stewart, QDT, Boi-1da, Teddy Riley, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Lex Luger, Jermaine Dupri, and other producers are collaborating on her project. She also said that she will include female rappers Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim, Canadian rapper Drake, West Coast rappers Ice Cube, WC, MC Ren and The Game, East Coast rappers 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Nas, Dirty South rappers Ludacris, Lil Jon (which will produce the album), Webbie, OutKast's Andre 3000, Lil Wayne, and Midwest rappers Kanye West, Eminem and Nelly. Also male and female singers are joined on the album including best friends Keri Hilson, Monica, Chris Brown, her TLC bandmate Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, Jamie Foxx, The-Dream and more. The songs Watkins recorded such as "Can It Be Love", "Miracles", "Someday", "Get It, Girl", and a remixed version of "Wanna Take Me Back" featuring Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane will be on the album.
