I wouldn't say he is struggling, I think right now he is just having too much fun in the booth and not even caring about what he puts out. He just lost his hunger and maybe if he takes a little break he will get some of his hunger back.

I like those artists but honestly I don't see all the hype in the Black Star album. Two great artists, great lyrics, but it was too repetitive and they didn't really get too creative with it. It only gets hype because it was their first album and it was in the 90's, but that's just me. I've listened to it a couple times.

wayne was the GOAT from 2005-2010, he was everywhere and that was eligible because he had them skills back then. now he has some of the worst verses i've ever heard and he still trynna sell his shit. there are everywhere wayyyy better rappers around him, the whole black hippy crew, asap, drake, danny brown, ...

I am happy that he is thinking about a break and hope he'll come back as the GOAT again.

Pretty sure I liked those songs, but the album overall didn't seem to creative. I don't know, it was good in terms of lyrics but it could of introduced a lot more musically. Other then that I've never heard a full Mos Def album but I still know that I love his music because I've heard some songs off the New Danger such as The Panties, Ghetto Rock, etc. and those are amazing.
