What 50 Wayne hooks are better than Duffle Bag Boy?
"Armed and dangerous, rich and famous, young and restless
        Guns and stretchers
        Cristal and dubs for breakfast
I just got one suggestion - none should test him
'Cause cuz get hectic; send one through your sons intestines
Glocks knock lungs from chests, you get the portrait?
Bodies piled up on porches, it won't be gorgeous"

well yeah isn't that how classics work? if theres better songs you're gonna call those classics, not the mediocre ones. I respect you guys opiion but seriously, I don't understand how you can consider DBB a classic. Yeah the hook was nice and catchy but thats it... I can bet any money that anyone who isn't a huge Wayne fan will not call that song a classic. Wayne classics are, I'm Me, Sky's The Limit, PMW, I Feel Like Dying, Fly In, Fly Out (among others I know theres a lot more) you seriously can't say that DBB compare's to any of those. Maybe if Wayne had a verse in the song that was good too I'd look at it differently. But I know if it wasn't for the hook no one would call it a classic, and Wayne's good, but he's not good enough where he'll say 6 lines and you can automatically say it's a classic.

And no I can't name 50 better Wayne hooks, but I can name 50 better songs, hooks are 20 seconds, they don't make the song. And let me just play devil's advocate here, what if it wasn't wayne on the hook, what if it was like drake, or actually no one from ymcmb, what if was TPain, or Ross, or Meek, would any of you still be calling it a classic? I really don't think so

No I wouldn't. Why? Because DBB marked the prime of Wayne's career and the energy and vibe of the hook does not compare to any other hook Weezy did (maybe a few).

Its doesnt mean every classic is necessarily a better song. A Classic is based mostly on impact and lifespan... and the fact that we are still talking about DBB validate it as a potential classic. Anyway both Yuck and DBB are dope.. But you cant deny the impact of Wayne's hook on DBB.

No one is calling the whole song a classic, just the hook.

Wayne's 20 seconds did make the whole song, which is why the hook is a classic

I'll give you that, it was one of Wayne's better hooks. But where I'll disagree is it definitely did not mark the prime of his career, that was the Da Drought, and the Carter II.

tbh man the only reason we're talking about DBB is cause we're comparing it to another song he did with the same artist. When was the last time before this that you listened to or even thought about DBB. I never said it was a bad song, but I just really don't think its a classic.

If you look through the thread I think you're the only one that said the hook is a classic, everyone else said "DBB is a classic" which leads me to assume they're talking about the song as a whole. Anyways, to each his own, and everyone has their opinions. All I meant was when someone asks me name some Wayne classics some of the songs that come to mind are Upgrade U, Suffix, Something You Forgot, Dr Carter, I'm Me, those I would consider true Wayne classics. DBB is just a nice catchy hook, and in my opinion nothing more than that.

I wouldn't really call his hook on DBB a CLASSIC, but it's really dope and the vibe is good. It obviously has to be good to still be mentioned years later, but I still wouldn't call it a classic. I'm comparing because: similar artists, Wayne on hook, both fit perfectly with the song. There's nothing wrong with comparing these two hooks.

A classic Wayne hook to me would be his one on "My Life" with The Game even though I don't like when he uses autotune like that.
