So how did Evil Empire Mixtapes (The Drought Is Over Pt. 2) manage to have most of the original songs in 2007.

Tha Carter III Released in June 2008 if i'm not mistaken.

How did almost the entire album get leaked?

The Empire, evil empire is a different guy, and he did all the droughts 1-6


and he leaked all the songs derrrrrrr, must have got them from someone in waynes camp and or hacked emails

i believe i read somewhere that a DJ from Drama's crew or something leaked it like 5-7 days before after feeling disrespected thinking Wayne discredited any DJ he had ever worked with from helping him
but it was a misunderstanding because Wayne was only referring to The Empire

Damn that's crazy. Well I guess it's a good and bad thing.

Although The Original Carter 3 was better IMO, The Carter 3 retail version was good too. So it's like we got two albums.

Yeah, I read on I think it was HotNewHipHop.com, that some DJ named Chuck T claimed responsibility for leaking it.


Crazy stuff, I just wanted to see if their was more behind the leak, or if anyone knew other stories.

well @KidComet leaked the original he was an original member of young money who was supposed to be on the original carter 3
he was supposed to be on the orginal a milli and he was on the original lollipop ( unreleased) and supposedly was gonna be on world of fantasy hes on our forums so you can ask him for the songs but everyone here has asked about at least one and he just wont do it
however he was talking about being in talks with birdman lately to resign to young money

if you mean who leaked the original, it the The Empire. DJ Big Mike. Wayne worked it out with him tho after Da Drought Is Over 1-6. If your wondering who leaked the retail version a week before its release,it was a certain DJ was felt disrespected after Lil Wayne said in an interview "Fuck all mixtape DJs". Thats why in Dedication 3 Lil Wayne says in the song "Message to the Djs " that he didnt mean the official mixtape dj's like DJ Drama and stuff but the fake ones.
