        Yes.
I don't set out to be different. I set out to be me, and people think that's different.

He still gets compliments from newer rappers, but I don't see as much hype for Wayne as far as a threat to others.

I would love to see this go down though:

Business-wise, yes. Wayne made mediocre to slightly above average music and still sold more than most rappers. Plus his business venture... Trukfit is arguably one of the most well-known clothing brands in the music world right now.
Music-wise, sometimes. Wayne is still capable of destroying tracks, and he has been on a roll lately. Of course, there are hits and misses here and there, so it really depends...

Of course. I mean he's making more money than most in the business and aren't all those rappers in there for the money?

Yes- although he hasnt been at his best he is still capable of killing a track so he isnt something to mess with.
AND he has been on the come up lately so if anything he will start to once again become competition

It would be silly to deny Wayne as competition. He might not be on the same level as 2008 Wayne or previous, but who is?

Rapping wise? I would have to say no. Sale/Award/Exposure wise? yes...
