Because of that one phone call to his family and fans "Lil Wayne was found cold in his hotel room, cause of death still under investigation".

Think about it. Pimp C died from syrup and he's considered a legend. Wayne is a legend (even though he's very bland and generic nowadays, he's changed the game) and I don't want him to die anytime soon. He got me into hip hop in general, his music has cheered me up on shitty days and he's way too young to die. I'm glad he's matured and dropped the cup.

I have to second that because he does have a prescription for it as shown in that video from about a year ago where he walked through his house and shows his skate ramp

"You tied to the track on my train of thoughts, and controlling my thoughts is like tamin sharks..."

"I gotta hit 'em, like redbones wit long hair, fuck wit me ya ass is grass, get a lawn chair..."
"Life is a bitch, I'll make her yo ex..."

                Or autotune....
"Armed and dangerous, rich and famous, young and restless
                Guns and stretchers
                Cristal and dubs for breakfast
I just got one suggestion - none should test him
'Cause cuz get hectic; send one through your sons intestines
Glocks knock lungs from chests, you get the portrait?
Bodies piled up on porches, it won't be gorgeous"

it's a real shame when the secret to someone's success is substances. nothing against the substances, lol, i'm just sayin it sux he can't tap into that same talent pool as when he's all twisted on syrup and weed. i remember when c4 came out i was so caught up with trying to convince myself that his flow was still the same as ever. call it major denial. i still think it's a very good album, just not up to his previous standards. intro should've been called 4 Play and been like a 3 Peat style fire fest, not the boring way it turned out. sure, the rudy huxtable line was funny and the "going in like my water broke" wasn't bad, but overall it was a real snooze. Blunt Blowin had a great beat and hook, but more of his boring, soulless wordplay of that era. i used to make excuses for the line "i'm all about my riches, my name should be richard" lol. tried to find some deeper meaning, cause i couldn't admit that it just BLEW. haha.

MEGAMAN, on the other hand, was sick. that was the closest to weezy at full potential on that record (second verse in particular). i'm surprised that jam never got more love... maybe it was that burger king line lol. but yeah it had solid punchlines, laugh out loud lines and moments where you just like "OH @#$* did that nigga just say that?!?!" y'all know what i mean

6'7" was classic i don't care what anyone says. so it was played out. ain't weezy fault

nightmares was mellow, but i don't care. i dig that style too. he had some real insightful lines in there.

anyway, i'm getting off topic. the point is: aside from those few moments in tracks 3,4 and 5 weezy sounded like he BADLY needed to get back on the syrup on that one.
